Oven Fried Chicken Wings In Papilotte

Chicken wings are selling at RM10.90 a kg at Jusco.  They looked fresh and big , so I bought a few back and instead of deep frying them ,  I oven fried them instead.  Not so oily and it tasted good.  It uses little oil and not so messy.  It is cleaner and healthier too :) but of course chicken wings are not really good for health.  High in fat but I love to indulge in it once a while :p  Eat everything in moderation  and you will be fine :)  Read on to see how it is being prepared.......

I  marinated the wings with chopped onions, garlic, ginger, oyster sauce, thick soy sauce , white pepper and a tsp of sugar , wrapped them in parchment paper and oven fried them  :)  It tasted exactly like the dim sum delicacy " chi pau kai " mmmmm yummy good and really finger licking good :) slurp !

I marinated it for 3 hours before I wrapped them
in parchment paper.

I used bamboo skewer to seal the edges together :)

the chicken wings are ready to be oven fried

when the chicken are cooked through, take the parcels out and
place the parcels on a wire rack with a pan
underneath to collect the drippings of excess oil

cut open the parcel and serve the chicken wings
either with rice or porridge

Take the parcels out of the baking pan and drain off excess oil before serving.
