Pan Fried Shrimps With Sizzled Soy Sauce

Yesterday was a public holiday , WB and myself  decided to go to the nearest wet market that is the Kg Simee wet market and we had a wonderful time there.  Can you imagine me marketing there where the prices of food stuff are so much cheaper compared to the one I usually go ? Beside veggies and fruits we came home with a kilo of large shrimps...and we paid  only RM40 for them !!! WB said , we should not wait until  Chinese New Year to eat this large shrimps and pay a fortune for them.  They were fresh and large too...and I can't wait to cook some for dinner :)

Pan fry them or steam them with chinese rice wine would be the simplest form of cooking shrimps and the best way to taste the natural sweetness of the shrimps.  I pan fried them with sizzled soy sauce.  Chinese restaurants will named this dish ' Kon Chin Har ' and is a very popular dish in wedding dinners.  For me , I would like to add in lots of chopped garlic and chopped chilies.

This dish is aromatic with the shrimps coated with corn flour being pan fried in grapeseed oil and you can inhale in the the seawater water smell and when the shrimps are cooked, add in the soy sauce and let it sizzle in the oil for few seconds...mmmmm the fragrant is beyond description :P  Add in the chopped garlic and chilli and stir fry till well coated on the shrimps. Dish up and garnish with coriander leaves.  Simple and yet a tantalizing dish to whet up one's appetite.   I cooked  6 pieces only...have to watch the cholesterol intake...for this is one artery clogging goodness we have to control :p  Actually it tasted so good that 6 pieces was not enough.  Not to worry , there are some more in the freezer.....LOL!
